They do look ready to follow their father’s footsteps and fall right into line, except for the one staring at me. He might be the lone rebel in that group. The one on the far left looks like a Kennedy! OK, enough of my gibberish…

I’m happy to post all of my pictures on the internet, knowing that some will be stolen. I can’t worry about what I don’t know about or can’t control. I refuse to become paranoid and only post tiny watermarked images. I don’t care if you use thirty of my pictures in a collage. I actually think it might make me happy to see the results. What you should NOT do is steal the images for a commercial project. My images can be purchased for very reasonable prices, and it would make sense to spend a small amount up front. I am being sued for every penny I don’t have in a divorce, and I will litigate to protect my work…I’m bringing this up because this image has been made into T-shirts in the past and is an example of one of my most commercially viable pictures…

This may be one of my better color pictures. I still don’t know exactly what I’m doing when I shoot color, but I guess the best thing is not to clutter my mind (or what’s left of it) with too many theories on color placement or hot colors vs. cool colors, etc. etc….

Andre Kertesz the great Hungarian photographer once said he waited his whole life to take a picture of a pigeon flying in front of a tenement. (It was an amazing photo) I felt that way about this image. I could easily have gone a hundred years without being this lucky again…
This picture is NOT in my book, “The Urban Prisoner” but is used to decorate the back of the dust jacket. Anytime I can have two or more subjects doing something in a picture, I’m usually pretty happy. The subway station’s shallow depth of field is a problem, but also accentuates those people in focus…

For the past 25 years I didn’t know that I had this negative. If I’d been shooting digital maybe I would have deleted this one because I didn’t like the architecture at the time. Never press delete on your modern gizmo filled camera…

As I rode my bike uptown after the twin towers were no more, I took this shot of two men who probably were old enough to have memories of the attack on Pearl Harbor. I remember thinking that as I passed by them and of course wondered what their take was on what had just taken place downtown…

Guys can be so lame when they get together and discuss women. Proclaiming “I’m a breast man” or “Leg man” so proudly after a few drinks. If I were forced to confess to such nonsense, I guess I’d be an “Eye man” Look at her eyes…I could get lost in them forever…

This might be Queens Blvd. not that it matters. I love the past too much. The cheap gas, the Porcelain Pegasus and the old cars which had bumpers on the front and also on the rear. Does anyone remember bumpers? Chrome coated steel which was ready to absorb impact without crumbling like a fuckin’ potato chip…

This might be my favorite subway picture from the the past few years. The couple in the middle seem made for each other. Maybe they’re just siblings. Flanked by the young Misfit on the left and the blond lady on the right…well if looks could kill…
