When I quit writing Graffiti in 1976 I never looked back…When I started photographing New York it never occurred to me that I should hit the tunnels again, with a camera instead of paint…Oh well, I could drown myself with all the spilt milk!

Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

I should have shot more trains, but I spent a few years in those tunnels and had moved on. I didn’t think graf would become as big and global as it did…
