Mike Peters has just wrapped up a digital presentation of his work called “The Dream” It will hopefully find a publisher soon. He hopes to print four narrow books and then put them into a slipcase. That would be fantastic! I have decided to crop my work from now on as a tribute to Mike, who lugs his Hasselblad around everywhere and makes me wish that I had one too. I remember what it feels like to compose an image with a larger camera and then attain critical focus. You just sense the potential of the image in a different way than with 35 mm. Of course I’m sort of kidding here, but another thing which Mike has, that I covet is…Four cars! I just want one…

  1. Matt, you’re too funny. I have an Oldsmobile with custom body work, and as my friend Gena says “Russian air conditioning” (roll down the window’s) that you can have for a song.

And, seriously, thanks for the shout out. I look forward to more squares from you. Especially when we shoot together, as that’s the only way to keep me out of the frame.

  2. You’ve worked very hard and now it would be nice to see your “Dream” come true…Yes I want a car, but having done the
“American car with over 100,000 miles thing” a few times, I may be ready for a change of pace…

  3. If my back hadn’t become worthless, I’d like to give it a try…Some of the MF Rangefinders are light enough, but Mike says that every time he takes a picture, it costs him a dollar! My shooting habits and a dollar a frame, are a very bad combination…
