It feels kinda weird to sneak up on such a happy couple, but that’s what you gotta do if you want to get a picture like this. It’s guaranteed to piss them off, but all’s fair in Love & Art…

Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

feels a bit like the same I think.
And big respect for the other picture (the kissing couple), perfect moment, one more time.
Thanks Martin!!!

Great shot!!!!!!!!! Ok. That’s dumb. Beautiful shot. OK. Also dumb. Love it. Is it full frame or a crop? What a poster this would make.
If I saw it in a framing store, I’d buy it in a second. And yes, you’ve got to intrude on private moments. The best you can hope for is to do it without disturbing the couple.
I always crop if it helps…If you’d buy it then I’m in better shape than I thought…You have the Midas touch for discerning what sells!
This reminds me a photo by Elliott Erwitt
I have always loved Erwitt’s work!
