I use to sit on my stoop and watch my neighbors run to catch the crosstown bus which left every five minutes. I know I’ve said this too many times, but not being one of these clock punching workers is one of the things I am very grateful for…

  1. I see people running for the bus all the time and there aren’t many things you can see in a city that are funnier. That and people running to catch the green light at crosswalks. This is something I never understood. The buses come every 5 minutes. It takes about a minute until the streetlight will turn green again.

  2. Exactly as Matt said above.
I can’t tell how many times I’ve been late all because I missed a bus that would appear in 5-10 minutes again. Of course, this shows that I’m often irresponsible.

  3. Yeah. Especially, oh god especially, the M11 (and the M7 sometimes).
It’s always late (I’ve checked the MTA website to be sure). And when it does arrive, it’s usually ingroups of 2-3.
