This place was really rundown and fortunately has been restored to most of its former glory. This is also where Malcom X was murdered in 1965…

  1. I think you can place this one in your portfolio of masterpieces. Walker Evans himself could not have been more starkly graphic or more careful about choosing visual elements that not only capture a moment, but induce the viewer’s mind to travel beyond the surface into metaphysical reverie. Bravo!
