Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! I believe the true test of a great photo is whether or not it can stand alone and still evoke wonder, curiosity, emotion, etc.
As much as I appreciate this photo, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that the collection of your “love” photos featured on slate.com had an extraordinary affect me…one image after the other of raw emotion…beautiful. 🙂
Probably should have included this image in my book, as I have always liked this image…
