Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! There is a scene in Koyaanisqatsi with a similar sign. I don’t think it’s the same one because it’s vertical. They pull a similar trick, though, showing just the “NY,” while cars speed up and down the avenue. Nice shot.
