I bought my first camera here. An Asahi Pentax Spotmatic. No focusing screen. I quickly traded up to a K1000. Love the car as I do all the old boats from the 70s. Good one Matt.
I actually bought my first camera (an AE-1) a couple of blocks away on 7th Ave. I think the store was closer to the Taxi stand where I was able to leave my cab.
$149 for the body, and $99 for a 50mm 1.4 lens…That set up served me very well for over ten years!
