  1. This is a beautiful shot. RIP Kodachrome. I love the gentle shades of the fading sky and the heavy feet of the bridges paired with their relatively delicate cables.

  2. What an amazing picture–it truly is evocative of morning in New York! Though it is of the bridge connecting Manhattan and the Bronx, we can’t help feel that there is a bit of the spirit of Astoria captured here as well–the way in which the picture captures both the grittiness and glamour is also evocative of the appeal of Queens in many ways.
