Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe. View all posts by Matt Weber
Garbage at its best!!! 😉
oh my god!!
Somewhat representational of our education system today…from all sides.
Particularly those who don’t appreciate or understand the importance of a good education, and those in powerful/political positions who choose not to focus on, nor contribute additional funding to a troubled system.
I’m a firm believer that a country is only as successful as it’s educational system.
In NYC you had and still do have, great schools in rich neighborhoods and some of the worst schools in poorer ones. There have been a few charter schools which are very good and highly rated popping up in “bad” neighborhoods during the past few years…It’s getting better, but with huge budget problems, it could always get worse….Just looking at what “Average” Americans watch on TV, makes you wonder about our intelligence…
