Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe. View all posts by Matt Weber
Really loving your 80’s series, Matt.
Once again, browsed by this one the other day, but today, for some reason, it hit me particularly hard with the expressions of the woman in the diner and the man on the street. Most likely complete strangers in seemingly contemplative moods, expressing a slight melancholy in their gestures.
It’s kind of got that ‘alone in the big city’ feel to it.
Great shot.
I’m having fun looking through my old negatives…The surprises seem brand new despite their age…
