Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

Man, you sure know how to spot ’em. I am in ore. Seriously, that is very cool.
Btw, you have inspired me to start shooting in film…something I haven’t done in almost 10 years. My cousin loaned me a Ricoh KR-5 and a Yashica G Electro 35, the latter which I learned to shoot on when I was around 10-11 years-old. A friend also loaned me his Minolta Maxxum 9, which is like a digital almost, except it takes film — very modern, not quite what I was going for.
I have yet to get the rolls developed, so I can only imagine what horror awaits me.
The problem with film is that sometimes a person on a limited budget will start shooting in a frugal fashion and then miss the picture which would have been the “One”. Money can’t be an issue in the back of your mind, otherwise you’d be better off sticking with digital…
However, when you hit a “Home run” and have a nice negative to work with, I think you will be very happy indeed…
