Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

About a month ago I saw a woman in my neighborhood (Sheepshead Bay) in much the same post, except she was “leaning” to the point that if I didn’t rouse her when I did, I think she might have cracked her skull open.
I am enamored, btw, of the colors in your photos. Love your B&W stuff, but your color shots strike the perfect balance between vibrant and gritty.
I can’t get that with my D90.
Thanks…Maybe, just maybe, the fact that I shoot film is paying small dividends as far as certain tones and colors are concerned. The stuff cost me $10 a “bag” too you know…
Every pic of yours makes me want to see New York, sounds like a crazy place.
Unfortunately I knew too many guys and gals who fell prey to the needle…New York was scary thirty years ago, but also had all sorts of artists, poets and musicians to make the city a pretty interesting place!
