I like shooting color. I like shooting film. I like ignoring the obvious…

Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

While I am the biggest fan of HP5 you’ve ever met, I honestly feel your vision is clearer in these color images. This image captures the time and place of NYC in 2010 so well. My goodness, though the lighting and color temp issues in the subway seem daunting to me. Are you color correcting in PS?
I just love the Fuji ProZ 800 which of course is no longer made…Oh well, the Kodak 800 aint bad, but costs an arm & a leg…I adjust a little bit beyond Adobe 98, but honestly, it’s a learning experience for me. I did study oil painting as a kid and maybe my sense of color is somewhat better because of that…
Thanks!
I love this one (and all your photos). It says so much. I imagine these girls to be sisters from eastern european background, but of course I could be totally wrong. They look beautiful, silly, sexy, and a little bitchy all at once. Fun picture. I am blown away by your photos, amazing, you are so talented.
Brad, I think they did board the train at Brighton Beach…Very perceptive.
Oh I love this. I live near the Q line. Thanks for putting me right there.
My pleasure Rufus…
