Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

A good look though.
Hey Mike, you made it back in one piece! I guess you didn’t take the big square machine with you on your bike…Or did you?
What an iconic NYC image . . .
She was startling and it was dusk…I got lucky considering I was shooting at 125th second and wide open at F2…
Dude, with all due respect, it’s not just luck with you, it’s hard work. You are both the most fearless and hardest working photog I follow. With the color, I’m assuming you scan it yourself, but do you develop it at home?
Thanks Chris..I would never try and develop the color at home. Dip & Dunk machines cost a fortune and do a flawless job 99% of the time…I always do my own black & white work, and if I was rich, I’d probably go dip & dunk for that too. The amount of drips and streaks I’ve had to deal with over the years, make me crazy when trying to polish up the pictures in Pshop…So many hours could have been saved with perfect negatives!
