  1. what did they do the scratching with? Make noise? Other riders notice? Did transit authority replace all the windows? Do they shoot taggers on sight? Why did it all stop?

They used pieces of Brillo and maybe pads meant for cleaning BBQ’s…They also used etching fluid which was very effective and permanent…When two or more teens get together, they become increasingly brazen and don’t care about anyone who’s not a cop, or extremely large. It stopped because the city discovered a transparent film which they applied to ALL the subway’s windows, and when it is defaced, the decal can be removed easily…
