Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe. View all posts by Matt Weber

Terrific blog, Matt. I was pointed here by Dave (Beckerman), whose photography writings I have followed for many years.
Great pictures. I’ll definitely be stopping back by.
Can I ask… what is the WordPress template you’re using? Dave mentioned that it was fluid – and would adjust properly for larger size images? I’m currently using a static template on my own blog.
Best, Jeff
Jeff, The theme is called: Silver is the new Black” and I feel that I don’t want to diminish the viewer’s experience by posting
small jpgs. If someone is going to steal my images, I hope the image ends up on a major product. Maybe I’ll finally make some
dough. I can’t get all paranoid about it. I have enough problems to start worrying about what other people are doing…
Thanks!
Thanks Matt.
I couldn’t agree more on the image sizes. I hate trying to scrutinize small jpegs online. I figure if one is that paranoid about someone stealing one’s images, the internet is not the place to be. I’ve actually found it interesting where a few of my images have turned up (since I embed a copyright notice, google often finds them). And in a couple instances I’ve had people email me requesting permission to use an image. I let them.
