“The Balloon Boy” 2009

The balloon boy was the kid who we thought was in a runaway balloon dying from a lack of oxygen as the balloon soared for hours high above Colorado. The kid named Falcon was never on the balloon, but millions of Americans were mesmerized by his seemingly tragic plight.

Recently America focused on a witch who was running for the senate. I know several guys who actually watch wrestling on TV. If the so called news shows aren’t feeding us drivel, then the people will find things so useless it’s totally mindboggling. How about TV shows where you have to guess who’s gonna rat out his friend first. Or American Idol, where Americans watch some pompous ass from England make aspiring singers cry…

I know that the football games I have been watching for my whole life are considered totally useless by some people, so I guess I shouldn’t be complaining…

“Smoke while you can” 2010

I could go on a long diatribe about how much I despise the new smoking law that Mayor Bloomberg is about to impose on New Yorkers, but I won’t. He may have changed the law to get re-elected a third time, but the people spoke, and he’s our mayor. You get what you vote for. I’d like to see a park ranger try to issue a $50+ ticket to these two fellas…

“The Fun Lovin Criminals”

I’ve never done much commercial work, but I’m glad that I was able to supply photos to this band. I don’t normally listen to rap or hip hop, but this band wasn’t easy to label. Huey plays guitar and is the main vocalist. If Eminem or JayZ had huey’s skill on the guitar, they’d be even more famous and rightfully so. I never figured out why “The Fun Lovin’ Criminals” were unable to make it in a big way here in America. They did much better in Europe and I guess the British still know their music…

“Cold War Relic”

Not too many people remember gasoline globes. This is one of the rarest examples ever found. It is the only one of its kind. Even though the “A-Bomb” brought me quite a few nightmares as a kid, this is a beautiful globe and I wish I could add it to my ever withering collection…

Zoo York 2010

I had a few different shirts made with Zoo York  over the last few years, but I never saw one on the street. (or beneath it) A few weeks ago I saw this kid riding the number 3 train and took this picture for totally self serving reasons…I have been completely useless in promoting myself for as long as I can remember, and this is hardly going to matter, but better late than never…

September 15th 2001

I don’t know if this picture works, but I was trying to say that, even though the world had been changed in many ways, life for the homeless guy with the flag and his sleeping comrade would continue as if nothing happened. As it turned out, people in general were a lot more caring after 9/11 for awhile, and then all of sudden it was back to normal. The greedy went back to making money big time, and then the bubble burst and the greedy fuckers came with their hands outstretched looking for bailouts, which of course they received.

For a New York minute, it had seemed that things might actually get better after 9/11…Everyone felt bad for us and then, lo and behold, the worst president in history decided to use the massacre to his advantage…

“1977 World Series Game Six”

Yes the night Reggie Jackson hit three home runs to end the 1977 world series, I was sitting in the upper deck with my dad. I think David McCall “Snat” was also there. I still remember the third home run just disappearing into the dark night, well actually the black bleachers…$10 not a bad deal…
