“The Boy With the Silver Gun” 1989
Looking at the several frames I shot before and after this one, I think the gun may have been real. He was very into it and showed it to a friend who also seemed very intrigued with his find. Not that it matters now, but I don’t know what I can say that hasn’t already been said. Pictures speak better than I do…

“Brooklyn Streetball” 1989 (New Scan)
I finally finished scanning the majority of the older work I did back in the ’80s last night. I have plenty of current work and some medium format stuff I’ve been avoiding, and I also have a huge amount of my “Prime” negatives in need of being rescanned…I’m still relieved to have gotten through this portion of my work which has taken me over two years!

“Stitch-1” First Generation or Wave N.Y.C. Tag 1985
At this point one would have to be at almost 50 years old to remember what grafitti was like in 1970. I do recall monitoring the “First Wave” tags, and Stitch-1 with his pal Snake-1 killed the Broadway line and much more…Tags are very hard for some people to appreciate and if you weren’t part of the scene, chances are you thought they were just chicken scratch!

“Oh Calcutta! Billboard” Times Sq. 1987
I guess it’s been quite a while since they painted those giant ads. in Times Square. Photoshop killed off more jobs that we can count. Painters, air brushers, photographers and even more important…Artists.
I can blow this one up to almost billboard size if you’re looking for a large X-mas gift!

“Tavern on the Green” 1985
There are very few things I miss about driving a taxicab. One of them was cruising around town at night, during a fresh snowfall. New York looks so beautiful for a few hours and then the next day it all turns to slush and then eventually, “Black Snow”.
Yes prints are available, please e-mail for details.

“Vintage Soul Power Tag”
This tag is early first wave and interesting in the fact that the writer has borrowed or stolen at least three things from other writers. His “Saint” which he borrowed from Stay HIgh-149 is a rather crude attempt to say the least. Then he has also borrowed the “Crown” which RAT and several other early writers used, and finally the interlocking SP was made famous by SPIC-54 if my memory is correct….
