Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe. View all posts by Matt Weber
hey Matt,
Great shot of the exchange bar, I used to drink there in 82 to 83. I worked for Millar elevator on 12th ave, I was 18 and getting a proper nyc education. John was one of the bartenders there. Of course we drank at the terminal too. The last great bar I drank in was the king Edward in L.A. I’m still an elevator mechanic but retiring soon. Haven’t been back to the city in over 20 years, it would be like going to a wake for me now. I was born in the French hospital.
