This is beautiful. I used to take the bus up and down 14th Street from 1989 to 1992. It was a piece of ungentrified New York City-not particularly dangerous, if I remember correctly, but gritty, and somewhat worn-down. Seeing the sign in the window about the protest over “Bush’s War,” I imagine that this photo must have been taken in late 1990.
