Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

At this time it looks like WordPress is the preferred blogging platform available right now.
(from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
It is a very powerful photo, Matt…especially now that you explained the situation. It’s almost like the bars on the rack he’s pushing symbolize his own personal prison. The looks on the pedestrians’ faces are almost accusatory as opposed to empathetic. Good stuff!
I recall feeling a little guilty as he noticed me and must’ve been thinking, “Come on, my boss is dogging me and you take my fuckin picture!” I’m glad I did…
This is an interesting selection of BW
