Further proof you don’t need a gorgeous person to create a gorgeous photograph.
I just found this picture the other day and I’m into it without the barber pole. But the woman’s face is lit from that direction, so including the pole seemed natural. I am definitely proof that keeping all of your negatives is a good thing. I keep finding stuff which I didn’t think was worth printing 20 years ago and if I’d had a delete button and used it, then in retrospect that would have been a huge mistake…
Initially I debated the pole too, Matt…but then I concluded the pole added a surrealistic, Twilight Zone vibe to the photo and that it was perfect just the way it was. 🙂
Ultra classic. The barber post is nice touch, too.
