This might be the best picture I ever take of another photographer at work…

Photographing NYC for 25 years, six of them while driving a New York City taxi. Trying very hard to capture the city as life unfolds, meaning I never stage any of my photos! Also I am a close confidant of the immortal Dave Beckerman, (quintessential NYC photographer) and owner of the first photography blog in the known universe.

Hey Matt, this is about as perfect as it gets as you have captured my best side. Thanks!
I know I must say this a lot, but this time I really, really, _really_ think you’ve outdone yourself. This is one of those Holy Grail photos, that I would give anything to shoot. Total perfection.
While I haven’t seen any of your other photographer-at-work images, yeah I gotta say this one rocks. Capturing the same moment as another photographer, so it’s oh so meta. AND it’s very nicely composed.
Thanks Mike, Matt & Erica!

Woah, its like being a child in a sweet shop.. my eyes didn’t know where to look first! It reminds me of an oil painting but I cant remember the artist?
I never thought of that, but it’s true that a painter can arrange things in a similar way, where as a photographer has to be incredibly lucky and talented to achieve such a masterpiece…Don’t worry, if you stick with it, it will happen…
I can only reiterate the comments of the others. What a fantastic shot.
He’s very talented and this is probably the best picture I’ve taken of another photographer working!
