New York City Taxi 1989
A guy named Ted Croner took a picture of a NYC taxi back in the late ’40s which was blurred due to the cab’s speed and probably the slow film he was using. The picture is amazing. This one isn’t, but is the closest thing I can post as an homage to Croner…

Subway “Self Titled” 2007
This might be the best subway picture that I’ve taken. Not because of the poster which of course is absurdly perfect. I had taken several shots of them and in one of the earlier images, they both were very aware of me and looked like they were uncomfortable. I really liked the composition though because of the way their arms were all over the place. By the time I took this frame, they had become oblivious to my persistent snapping and settled into a nice peaceful mood…This one is better.

“The Met” 2010
I guess I feel like I’m intruding on “Beckerman Territory” but hey, Dave’s all caught up in his Paris work, and I’m unlikely to be visiting Paris anytime soon. Dave’s Paris portfolio is based on several trips he took there back in the ’90s before the French had become uptight about having their pictures taken…
It may be Dave’s Magnum Opus!
