I know it's a cliche, but I'm always disappointed when I see photos of NYC at night with no people or crowds. It's supposed to be the city that never sleeps. And my mind, Times Square was hoppin' at 4 a.m. in the 1960s-1980s. Never made it to NYC until until June of 2001, but when I visit now and walk down 42nd Street, it makes photos like this one all the more amazing/surreal to me. It was literally an entirely different world.
