A friend was kind enough to lend me her 50mm F1 Noctilux so I could do a few test exposures. I had never used one before. It is heavy and the one attribute which it has is that at F1 it turns everything but the subject, into total mush…
I like it but doubt I’ll ever have the extra $$$ laying around to buy one.

A Leica 50mm… Nocti… what were you saying?
Your friend (Arianna?) is stunning.

I would love to try it out. My old Canon D1 is heavy enough, but i’ve heard the Noctilux is a beast.

If money was no concern, I’d already own one, but the amount of times that I would actually need this lens, is not enough to warrant the cost!

Why not get the Voigtlander 50/1.1 $999 Nokton?

ergonomics mainly, but I can’t afford either right now so the point is moot…
